The kitchen cabinets are done and they are so beautiful. I can feel myself preparing good food at the bench, cooking on the lovely little English stove, popping a tray of bikkies into the oven even. I can smell it. So what do they look like, these fabulous kitchen cabinets? They look like this. And soon we'll see what they look like installed with the overhead cupboards and the Tassie Oak bench tops. On to the next bit.....What to do at the bed end? Another scruffy sketch by me, with squillions of 'rubbings out'. But somehow, with a chat on the phone for 15 minutes Michael and Emma understand what I would like . One of the (many) things I really wanted was a table to sit, somewhere where I have a lovely view as I eat - or sit and draw - or write in the many beautiful journals I seem to have collected. The fridge box will be the seat (sheepskin covered) and the table will pull out from under the bed. I bet the table top will be amazing ! Back to the next bit..... I'm loving the warmth and homliness of the wood. A plastic/vinyl/laminex van interior would certainly have a different feel (and smell) to it.
