When I bought a van, an old Toyota HiAce I called Scooby. I wanted to be where the photos were, to relax and snooze while waiting for sunset, make food and to have a nap, to be there in the morning for those great sunrise shots. Scooby and I did have some great adventures and went on a couple of fantastic road trips but she was old, she had no air con or power steering and she did a head gasket on my first trip and ....we always had to come home. Not perfect really. Scooby, once repaired, went to a good home in Bellingen and I bought a tent! A fantastic tent. I camped at Gloucester, NSW and took some great night sky photos but it was still a lot of lugging stuff in and out of the car - lots of setting up and packing up - and dealing with a wet tent when I got home. So Then.... ....after almost a year of looking at and researching 'Tiny Homes' and 'Teardrop campers' I bought a wonderful little mini pod camper I called Daisy.
Perfect in so many ways. She has a little solar panel and USB charging port and lights, cupboard inside for clothing, cupboards outside for all sorts of necessary stuff and a box at the front for tarps, pegs, etc. A great, comfortable little bed on wheels. She's light and is registered as a trailer.
